Ray was born in Barrow-in-furness, Cunbria and is married to Elaine and they have two grown sons, Colin & Graeme. Ray runs bible clubs at local school and assemblies in several schools with the help of others. He is the Pastor/Elder of Bethesda Evangelical Church and Trustee of the Church & Schools Christian Outreach Trust.

John Hayes:
John was born in Ashton-in-Makerfield in 1945. He has lived in Warrington since 1967 and became a Christian at the age of 8. He is married to Dorothy and have two sons and five grandchildren. He took early retirement as a Senior Legal advisor to Warrington's Magistrates' Court after 43 years. He is the musical director at Bethesda and was appointed an elder in April 1988.
