Bethesda is served by four elders.:
Mike Wildsmith
Mike has been the full-time pastor at Bethesda since 2019. He has been in full-time ministry for over 25 years in Leeds, Liverpool, and now in Warrington. He is also engaged in the local community as a school and sports club chaplain. As a proud Yorkshireman, he is also Chaplain at Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Club! Outside of Bethesda, Mike is Chair of Trustees at Operation Mobilisation UK. He is married to Trish and they have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
Danny Foulkes
Danny is married to Jo, and despite his youthful appearance, has 4 adult children and a growing number of grandchildren. He shares responsibility for teaching and preaching in a variety of settings, co-ordinates the pastoral work at Bethesda alongside the other elders, and leads our Men’s Ministry. Danny has a keen interest in theology and can usually be found surrounded by books, dogs, and cats!
Matt Rigby
Matt Rigby is our resident Music Maestro. Aside from leading our Music Ministry and teaching one of our House Groups, he is married to Nic and has three energetic young boys. He also makes a mean steak!
Andy Taylor
Andy is our Elder responsible for Finance at Bethesda, and is also the Chair of our Trustees. He is a local business owner, is married to Helen, and has two adult sons. He has a background in aviation, and has some fascinating stories to tell! He is also a bit handy with a paintbrush and a number of impressive-looking gardening tools.
