What to Expect
- Our morning Family service typically lasts for about an hour and fifteen minutes (11am – 12.15pm). We encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to ensure you can secure a parking space and a good seat, and take the opportunity to say hello to friends or spend a few quiet moments before the service starts.
- We don’t have a dress code, so please come as you are. Some people dress casually and some more formally – either is good.
- We don’t take a collection, so nobody will ask you for money. If you do want to give, there is a box near the entrance door, but please don’t feel that you need to do so.
- Our service has a mixture of hymns and songs (both old and new), and we’d love to hear you sing along with us, but nobody will look at you strangely if you prefer not to join in. We sing pretty enthusiastically, led by a keyboard and guitar and a small group of singers, so we can easily drown you out if you feel self-conscious!
- There is often a children’s story, as we love to have boys and girls present in our services, and we also run a Sunday School and Creche during the meeting if you have children or very little ones that would benefit from that. If your children want to stay in for the whole service, we encourage that too.
- We believe in preaching, so as well as a bible reading we prioritise preaching through consecutive bible passages each week, from the English Standard Version. The message length usually varies from 30 – 40 minutes, and if you do want to follow the message, the bible passage will be projected on the wall, or we can give you a bible to use while you are here.
- Once a month, we observe the Lord’s Supper (Communion) in the morning service. If you are visiting with us and have living faith in Christ, we invite you to participate in that along with us.
- After the service, we invite you to stay and get to know us over coffee and cake.
- Our Sunday evening meetings usually last about an hour, and we either celebrate Communion, or have a more informal time of fellowship together.
